Job Description:
Senior Data Scientist Location: Beachwood, OH As a Penske Senior
Data Scientist you will be responsible for building, delivering and
maintaining data science solutions that enables Penske to advance
our predictive analytics capabilities. You will function in a
project/technical leadership role and will complete high-level data
science solutions. You will also conduct appropriate testing and
provide support to end users for implemented solutions.
Responsibilities
- Formulate and define system scope and objectives and prepare
detailed specifications for data science projects.
- Develop and maintain scalable data science models.
- Provide quality reviews and improvements for existing
models.
- Be a technical subject matter expert for the organization in
the data science space.
- Collaborate with analytics and business teams to improve data
models that support all aspects of the organization and foster
data-driven decision making.
- Provide both project and technical leadership roles to complete
complex system level assignments.
- Contributes to technical development of junior associates
through mentorship and collaboration. Qualifications
- The minimum requirements are 3+ years of experience along with
a PhD in a related field OR 5+ years of experience along with a
Master's degree in a related field.
- Experience designing and building machine learning applications
using both structured and unstructured datasets is required.
- Practical experience programming using Python, R or other high
level scripting languages is required.
- Demonstrated experience with one or more machine learning
techniques including logistic regression, decision trees, random
forests and clustering is required.
- Knowledge and experience with SQL is preferred.
- Regular, predictable, and full attendance is an essential
function of the job.
- Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule,
work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment
